  1. 6-2 - It is a rout !! Kiefer wraps up the match with a break to 30. Blake handed the German two match points with a double fault. Blake saved the first one but then went long with another poor shot. Great performance from Kiefer but Blake was simply awful.

  2. 5-2 - Kiefer just one game away with yet another hold to love. Blake tried to come to the net on one point but Kiefer just guided a shot past him. He has been by FAR the better player here today and he looks like he is going to get his first ever victory over Blake.

  3. 4-2 - AMAZING POINT FROM KIEFER SEES HIM BREAK. Another catalogue of errors from Blake sees Kiefer go 15-40 up but then on the first break point the German was simply amazing as he raced all around the court to stay in a point that Blake seemed to be dominating. Then the German finally managed to steady himself, get to the net, and Blake eventually fires a shot into the net.

  4. 3-2 - Blake misses a big chance as he goes 0-30 in front before Kiefer manages to hold to 30. Again the American just getting impatient and trying too much - the perfect example came on the 15-30 point when he pushed a cross court forehand long when the shot was really not on.

  5. 2-2 - And 200 kmp/h ace from Blake sees him wrap up a service game to 15 is he finally finding a way into this match?

  6. 2-1 - Kiefer has looked solid on his own serve all day and there is still no sign of that changing as he again holds again to 15.

  7. 1-1 - Blake finally stops the rot with a hold to 30 but Kiefer is flying around the court while Blake's body language doesn't fill you with confidence.

  8. 0-1 - Blake won the first game of the match - Kiefer has now won seven in a row. An unreturnable serve wraps up another hold to love.

  9. 1-6 - Blake all over the place. He goes 40-0 in front and still manages to be broken. An easy set for Kiefer, much easier than anyone could have expected.

  10. 1-5 - Kiefer is playing very well here - he manages to save a break point by showing some lovely soft hands at the net before eventually closing out the game. Lovely stuff and he is now just a game away.

  11. 1-4 - Blake makes a lame challenge as he tries to avoid another break but it is no use. Blake with lots of lazy shots - trying to end the points with shots that are just not on and he is making error after error. Kiefer with a double break.

  12. 1-3 - Kiefer holds to 30. Blake missed a good chance on 30-30 as he comes to the net and makes a mess of a shot when he should have produced a winner. Nice point from Kiefer sees him take the game as he shift Blake from left to right.

  13. 1-2 - Kiefer breaks - Blake was always playing catch-up in that game and a return winner down the line seals the game for the German on the first point after deuce.

  14. 1-1 - Kiefer holds to love though to follow up Blake's game. Just feeling each other out in these early stages.

  15. 1-0 - Nice easy hold to 15 for Blake to start this match. The American will be confident about this match - he leads the head-to-head 3-0 and has never even dropped a set against the German.

  16. - - Blake serving in this opening game.

  17. - - Both players warming up at the moment.

  18. - - Welcome to this second semi-final between Nicolas Kiefer and James Blake with both players playing for the right to meet Gilles Simon in the semi-finals.
