FELIPE MASSA WINS!! A superb performance from the Brazilian and he takes his third consecutive win in Turkey. Lewis Hamilton takes a battling second place ahead of Kimi Raikkonen. Robert Kubica fourth, with Heidfeld, Alonso, Webber and Rosberg the other points finishers.
58/58 Final lap for Felipe Massa, who can cruise to victory with a five-second cushion. Hamilton clings on to second for the time being.
56/58 David Coulthard looks like he is going to miss out on the points here. He lies ninth, a couple of seconds adrift of Nico Rosberg.
55/58 Real pressure on Hamilton. Squeaky bum time with four laps to go.
53/58 Now Raikkonen is starting to put Lewis Hamilton under pressure. He is within a second and really having a crack here.
52/58 Massa is actually extending his lead over Hamilton, and there are a couple of lapped cars between them anyway. No chance of the Brit winning this race.
51/58 Not so fast, Heikki. Kovalainen is forced to pit for a third time and he can kiss that world championship point goodbye.
50/58 And Kovalainen into eighth... he and Rosberg swap positions twice before the Finn outdrags him down the straight and grabs a point!
50/58 Good move by Kovalainen, outdragging David Coulthard and going second.
49/58 So Felipe Massa leads Lewis Hamilton by around five seconds, with Raikkonen a further second and a half back. It looks like three wins out of three in Turkey for Massa.
48/58 How they stand: 1-Massa, 2-Hamilton, 3-Raikkonen, 4-Kubica, 5-Heidfeld, 6-Alonso, 7-Trulli, 8-Webber, 9-Rosberg, 10-Coulthard.
46/58 Lewis Hamilton is second ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and that a huge victory for McLaren and a vindication of their three-stop strategy. Surely he can't reel in Massa?
45/58 In comes Hamilton for his final stop - it's a 5.9 second effort... AND OUT IN SECOND!!
43/58 So, Hamilton leads by 14 seconds and has to hammer it before pitting for the final time.
41/58 Kimi Raikkonen is in and out - third place for him and Lewis Hamilton leads again!
39/58 This is frustrating for Hamilton, who is being held up by Raikkonen and the Finn will surely stay out for as long as he can.
37/58 Felipe Massa pits, as does Robert Kubica. Massa out in third place behind Hamilton. But remember the Briton has to pit again.
35/58 Lewis Hamilton is in third but closing quickly on Kimi Raikkonen. He is 2.5 seconds adrift of the world champion.
37/58 What fun!! Jenson Button is involved in a terrific dice with Nelson Piquet but loses out, and now Kovalainen goes past him.
36/58 More great wheel-to-wheel action as Kovalainen takes Glock, loses the position and then gets past him down the straight again.
35/58 Kovalainen is all over the back of Timo Glock, who is now 13th after that pit stop. Frustration for the Finn who was stymied by that early pit stop.
33/58 Hamilton comes in to the pits!! It is a 6.2 splash and dash, which is all very impressive but surely means he will have to come in for a third stop. Still, nice to see him winning.
32/58 7.5 seconds is Hamilton's lead now. He is really hammering it. Jenson Button and Timo Glock pit - this is the battle for eighth - Button is out first!
30/58 Lewis Hamilton's lead is now over five seconds. What a great job he is doing. Raikkonen is a further 10 seconds behind Massa, with Kubica clinging on in fourth.
28/58 Kovalainen has come in again and bungs in enough fuel to possibly get him to the end of the race. He is now 11th and a points finish is definitely on the cards.
26/58 Sebastien Bourdais beaches his Toro Rosso after getting out of shape into the same corner where Hamilton overtook Massa. Yellow flags out as he climbs out of his car.
25/59 A note of caution - Hamilton did not take on much fuel when he pitted and will need a long second stop (or even a three-stop strategy). But for the moment he is taking over a second a lap out of Massa.
24/58 HAMILTON OVERTAKES MASSA!!! The Briton leads the Turkish Grand Prix!! Get the flags and bunting out - one car has gone past another in an F1 race - Hamilton outbraking his man into a tight left-hander.
22/58 Here's how it has shaken out after the first set of pit stops: 1-Massa, 2-Hamilton +0.8, 3-Raikkonen +8.5. 4-Kubica +11.6, 5-Rosberg +12.5, 6-Coulthard +13.3, 7-Heidfeld +23.2, 8-Alonso +27.5, 9-Webber +29.3, 10-Button +31.6.
21/58 Raikkonen pits and it's a relatively long one. Where is Kubica?? Nowhere near! Easy for the world champion - he claims third place.
20/58 Fastest lap from Kimi Raikkonen, who is pushing hard to try and get in front of Kubica. Which he surely will.
19/58 Massa and Kubica also pit without incident. Just Raikkonen to come, and he leads at the moment.
18/58 Webber pits from fourth and tries to get out in front of Fernando Alonso... he fails. A long stop for the Aussie who takes on 31 laps' of fuel (more or less).
16/58 Into the pits for Lewis Hamilton!! It's a relatively short stop - enough fuel for 17 laps. Maybe he's not as quick as we thought..
14/58 Hamilton trims Massa's lead to 1.1 seconds. He is setting a succession of fastest laps. 1:26.742 his latest effort.
13/58 Heikki Kovalainen is on the charge, overtaking Adrian Sutil and moving up to 17th. He will just hang around and try to nab a low points finish due to retirements.
11/58 The first pit stops are expected in a couple of laps. Most teams expected to go for a two-stop strategy, and we will soon see who was carrying a light fuel load for qualifying.
9/58 Britwatch: David Coulthard is down in ninth with Jenson Button 11th. Anthony Davidson of course is not here following the dissolution of Super Aguri.
7/58
1-Massa, 2-Hamilton +1.5, 3-Kubica +4.4, 4-Raikkonen +5.5, 5-Alonso +6.8, 6-Webber +7.9, 7-Heidfeld +10.4, 8-Rosberg +13.3, 9-Coulthard +14.5, 10-Trulli +15.4.
6/58 Massa leads by a second and a half on lap six. Hamilton is struggling to keep up.
5/58
Kazuki Nakajima's race is over. Williams fitted him up with a new rear wing but clearly the damage was more significant.
4/58 Massa and Hamilton have opened up a bit of a gap on the field. Raikkonen is now up to fourth but remains stuck behind Robert Kubica.
3/58 In comes the safety car and it's race on! Hamilton is right on Massa's tail but you don't need me to tell you how rare overtaking manoeuvres are in F1. Heikki Kovalainen pits with a left rear puncture.
2/58 Oooohh... Fisichella's Force India car was catapulted right up in the air and nearly turned over.
1/58
The safety car is out following a shunt further down the field. Giancarlo Fisichella's third consecutive first-lap exit in Turkey. Raikkonen is down to sixth, Kubica up to third. Meanwhile Kazuki Nakayima has lost his rear wing but is still running. Adrian Sutil also needs a front wing.
1/58
GOOOOOOOOO!!! After a long delay the lights go on and off and Lewis Hamilton is immediately up into second - and Raikkonen has gone backwards!
- Please excuse the nonsense on the left - that obviously is not the starting grid. Technical gremlins (Australian ones).
- The race will be under way in a few minutes - just the warm-up lap to get out of the way.
- Starting grid: 1 - Felipe Massa (Brazil) Ferrari, 2 - Heikki Kovalainen (Finland) McLaren, 3 - Lewis Hamilton (Britain) McLaren, 4 - Kimi Raikkonen (Finland) Ferrari, 5 - Robert Kubica (Poland) BMW Sauber, 6 - Mark Webber (Australia) Red Bull - Renault, 7 - Fernando Alonso (Spain) Renault, 8 - Jarno Trulli (Italy) Toyota 9 - Nick Heidfeld (Germany) BMW Sauber, 10 - David Coulthard (Britain) Red Bull - Renault.
