Zvevzda Zvenigorod slipped to a 23-25 defeat at home to Gyori Audi in their women's Handball Champions League semi final first leg.

The Russian side were leading the Hungarians at 11-10 half-time.

Lada Togliatti, also of Russia, beat Austrian outfit Hypo Niederosterreich 31-28 in the opening leg of the second semi, having led by a three-point margin at half-time.
