Blackpool have announced they have reported Queens Park Rangers to the Football Association over their interest in defender Kaspars Gorkss.
A club statement revealed they made the decision to report the London club for what they deem to be an illegal approach for the Latvia international.
The club confirmed they will make no further comment and the matter is now in the hands of the FA.
Speaking about Gorkss recently, new QPR boss Iain Dowie told the club's website: "He is one we would like to bring here. I really like the look of him as a player and if it happens, then great."
Gorkss joined Blackpool from Latvian side FK Ventspils in January 2007 and has since made over 50 appearances for the club.

This is probably Blackpools way of fending off interest in Kaspars Gorkss. The thing is Blackpool will never get to the premier league & are just using smear tactics to cling on to a good player, whom is far to good for their team. I suggest they sell him because they need the money.
Im getting pretty tired of Rangers getting it in the neck from all the other Championship club fans. Iv supported them for a long time and think its fair to say we QPR fans have paid our dues. We haven't even made it to the top yet since getting the outside investment, so this grief about money and lack of atmosphere now is pretty unfounded. Come on the R's, get in that Prem!
Blackpool FC along with Arsenal after the war remained in the old first division, equivalent of todays PL, longer than any other clubs did, check it out for yourself ? Football is first and foremost a SPORT pal, if it was only a buisness then wed see everything played out on the stock exchange and wed be playing FTSE not footie. Typical of u cockney turnips though think EVERYTHING is down to moneeeee...by the way I used to watch QPR at Loftus Rd back when Rodney Marsh and STAN THE MAN used to play for them , why did I watch them rather than BIGGER RICHER clubs in London , I liked the idea that they might not be the biggest side but they tried to be the most attractive and entertaining, plus Loftus Rd had a very good :atmosphere:...obviously it doesnt anymore. Shame. COME ON U POOR-BOYS !!!

Come on, Blackpool supporters, let's come back to reality ! QPR are a big club and thet always be in that league. Do you think that the Latvian FA will select a player who is playing for second rated Championship team ? NO. Why should the Blackpool's management ego spoil somebody 's career ? There has been plenty of cases like this one ! If you do not let him go now for a good fee... By the way, you need the money...
One way or the other, the man will go and you'll get nothing for all your efforts.
QPR are the richest club in the world now and are going to the top. Love it or hate we are going to be seeing a lot of this as they inevitably rise to the top. Good luck to them. They have attracted investors and will be the envy of everybody. "QPhahahaha?!" Mmmmm, somebody is very jealous...
Blackpool have won the FA Cup. Blackpool may have little money and have achieved as much as QPR in recent years championship football. All these "big clubs" like leeds and leicester spend millions and are still @#$%. In recent years ive been to the millenium stadium three times and welbley once and we won on all occations.
Typical. All of a sudden QPhahahaha 'think' they are a big club.
Unbelievable, what has Blackpool ever achieved ? How can they pretend to keep a Latvian International playing for them. They have No money to build a team and they are prepared to spoil somebody's future by being awkward ! Come on guys, give your price and let QPR decide whether it is reasonable !
