Shakhtar Donetsk clinched their fourth Ukraine Premier League title in emphatic fashion with a 4-1 win over Metallurg Donetsk on Saturday.Rodrigues Jadson gave the new Ukrainian champions the lead in the 12th minute before Junior Ilsinho's 33rd-minute goal and Luis Fernandinho five minutes later gave them a commanding advantage.
Aleksandr Kosyrin pulled one back for the visitors in the 51st minute but Kostyantin Kravchenko restored Shakhtar's three-goal advantage 15 minutes later.
The result meant the outcome of second-placed Dynamo Kiev's game at FC Metalist Kharkiv was meaningless but they will still be glad Denis Oliynyk's last-gasp goal ensured they avoided final-day defeat.
Marco Devic opened the scoring for third-placed Metalist in the 37th minute but the visitors eventually found the equaliser in the 71st minute thanks to Badr El Kaddouri.
However, Anatoliy Didenko restored his side's lead seven minutes later before Oliynyk's equaliser right at the death.
At the other end of the table, FC Naftovyk-Ukrnafta's 1-1 draw at mid-table Vorskla was not enough to help them avoid the drop.
Debatik Curri opened the scoring for the hosts from the spot in the 56th minute and although Roman Karakevych pulled Naftovyk-Ukrnafta level six minutes later, they could not find the winner.
They end the season a solitary point behind FC Kharkiv who avoid relegation thanks to a goaless draw at Arsenal Kiev.
Already-relegated Zakarpattya fell to their 18th defeat of the season as they lost 2-0 at home to FC Zarya Lugansk.
Yevheny Lutsenko gave the visitors the lead in the 14th minute and Dmytro Vorobey doubled their advantage in the 66th minute.
A last-gasp goal from Viktor Melnyk helped lowly Kryvbas snatch a point at Chornomorets.
Dmitri Grishko gave the hosts the lead in the 15th minute before Melnyk's late leveller.
Tavriya Symferopol played out a 2-2 draw with Metallurg Zaporizhzhya.
After a goaless first half, Andrius Yoksas finally broke the deadlock six minutes after the restart only for Metallurg to draw level thanks to Taras Lazarovych.
Taras Kabanov then put the visitors ahead three minutes from time before Dmitri Nazarov's last-gasp equaliser.
Elsewhere, fourth-placed Dnipro ended their campaign with a goalless draw at home to lowly Karpaty Lviv.
