Ole Einar Bjoerndalen and Magdalena Neuner (both pictured) claimed World Cup glory in the biathlon as the Norwegian superstar won his fifth overall title on the men's side and the 21-year-old German became the youngest biathlete to win the overall Crystal Globe for the women.
Kati Wilhelm and Michal Slesingr won the season-concluding mass start races in Holmenkollen, Norway.
Vincent Vittoz beat overall World Cup champion Lukas Bauer to win the season-ending mini Tour de Ski in Bormio.
The Frenchman won the men's 20km mass start on Saturday before cruising to an overall victory for the weekend in Sunday's 15-km freestyle to take the season finale from the Crystal Globe champion.
Vittoz finished only seventh in Friday's 3.3km 'prologue', but fared much better over the longer distances to claim his first victory of the season.
Bauer, of the Czech Republic, finished second on Saturday and 10th on Friday. He had already secured both the 'distance' and overall World Cup crowns.
In the women's 10km mass start race on Saturday Finland's Virpi Kuitunen extended her World Cup overall lead over Norway's Astrid Jacobsen, before securing the season-ending victory in Sunday's 10-km freestyle.
The Finn claimed victory in the 10k-m mass start finishing 2.5 seconds ahead of Poland's Justyne Kowalczyk and was only 0.3 seconds faster than Kowalczyk in Sunday's race.
Kuitunen easily defended the World Cup title she won last season finishing the year 297 points clear of second-placed Jacobsen.
Austria's Reinfried Herbst won the Alpine season-finishing slalom and Italian Manfred Moelgg took the discipline's Crystal Globe with a sixth-placed finish.
Bode Miller took the overall title, but did not get to compete in his prized discipline the downhill because soft snow shortened the schedule for the World Cup finals and forced the cancellation of the event.
On the women's side Austria's Elisabeth Goergl won the season-ending giant slalom to finish second in the discipline standings behind Italy's Denise Karbon, while American speed queen Lindsey Vonn took the overall Crystal Globe.
18-year-old Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer ended the season on a high with victory in the Planica Ski Flying Finals, while his compatriot Thomas Morgenstern completed his Crystal Globe winning season with a 17th-placed-showing at the Slovenian resort.
American David Babic and Japan's Aiko Uemura won the freestyle skiing moguls season finales in Valmalenco, while Dale Begg-Smith of Australia and Uemura secured the moguls World Cup titles.
