MKB Veszprem claimed the European Cup Winners Cup after a 28-28 second leg draw against Rhein-Neckar Lowen.

The result saw the Hungarian side lift the trophy with an aggregate 65-60 win following a 37-32 victory over their German rivals in the first leg a week ago.

Lowen put up a fight in front of 13,200 of their own fans and were level at 14-14 after the first half of action.

But MKB, who have reached at least the quarter-finals of the Champions League in each of the past five seasons, proved too strong after the break and went on to pick up the coveted piece of silverware.
