Manchester City duo Micah Richards and Nedum Onuoha returned to action on Wednesday night in a 0-0 friendly draw with Metalurh Zaporizhya.The defensive duo played 77 minutes against the Ukrainian side at City's training camp in the Rottach-Egern area of southern Germany and showed no signs of the injury problems that dogged them last season.
New City chief Mark Hughes named a strong starting line-up ahead of next week's UEFA Cup first qualifying round tie against Faroe Islands outfit EB/Streymur.
Darius Vassell squandered City's best chance early on but opportunities were at a premium after that as Hughes utilised his squad by making 10 changes.
